Great value for a pizza peel, really enjoy using it to make homemade pizza on pizza stone.
I have been searching for an affordable pizza peel, well-made and large enough to hold a decent sized pizza. This peel appears to be well-constructed, it is a heavy stainless steel peel with a nice folding handle. It is large enough to hold a large pizza, unlike the 12" peels that seem to predominate the market. My only minor criticism is that, like some other reviewers have pointed out, one of the edges is not quite smooth. I could buy some emery cloth to smooth the edge, but I am of the belief that a new product should not need to be worked on at home, so I ordered a replacement which I hope will have smoother edges. The size, construction, and price make this a very good buy. Update: The replacement peel is perfect, I have been using it often for my homemade pizzas and it is a joy to use. Get one.
It's sturdy enough to hold even the heaviest Pizza that would fit on it, the folding mechanism is easy to use and makes it so it fits (just barely) in my kitchen drawer, the only criticism that I have is that the finish on it is not very slippery I had trouble getting me first couple of pizzas that I made off of it, I solved that problem by scouring it thoroughly with a rough Scotch Brite pad it dulled the glossy finish to a brushed finished that combined with a dusting of flour and or cornstarch did the trick

This works fantastic to put 10" sourdough pizza with parchment! onto and off the stone in the oven. Using parchment instead of cornmeal, etc. since extremely hot oven and don't want burned crumbs everywhere. Should take 1 star off as somewhat deep scratch top and bottom, looks like from stuffing into shipping box with other items. Appreciate the bending of the handle for decrease size for storage, yet totally secure when in use. Recipe for 4 10" sourdough pizzas at Alexandracooks is the best! I've found, easily handled this size and can make each persons with individual toppings or spread out on diff days (dough kept in frig} just FYI.
