I didn't know I needed this until I got it. I always used a metal potato masher for breaking up hamburger meat I did that for many years until I tried this. The blades on this are hard plastic but are sharpened in a way that makes breaking up the meat practically effortless!

Good one! If you get on the chopping right away this tool will serve you well. It does take a good stabbing motion but nothing to break my glass cooktop.

My daughter has this item in her kitchen and I recently stayed there for a few weeks. I did a lot of cooking there and learned to like this item, so I had to get one for my own kitchen.
