I've owned several of these type of expandable bamboo racks. There are two pieces, and one slides out from the other, toward the side. Check the measurements, as these kind of racks come in a variety of widths and heights. This set of two was a bargain, and was easy to use. The size matched the dimensions on the website. It looks attractive and clean, with the color being the standard color of other bamboo organizer items in my house. I use it to organize bottles of herb tinctures, essential oils, and vitamin supplements. I have about 10 of these, and they consistently arrived in good shape, and functioning well.
