I don't leave many reviews but I am in love with this.It looks nice in my brand new kitchen and I don't have to use counter space for a dish drainer. The side piece for utensils (which others don't have) is awesome. Not only do I dry dishes, pots, pans, etc., but it is also good for the sponge which is able to drain. Figuring out how to store the sponge but having it accessible was always a problem. Not any more! Also, it supports a lot of weight including multiple large pots and pans. At first I worried, but it is very sturdy.I also use it as a colander after I wash fruits and veggies. Everything drains into the sink (see third photo shows above and below), not a basin which I've had before and which becomes totally disgusting from the water sitting in it. LOVE THIS!Because it is telescopic, it will fit any sink securely which is crucial as you don't want your dishes crashing down. I don't know if the telescope pieces will get grungy over time, but if so, I think Lime Away will probably do the trick. So glad I bought this.
I love this! I was laying a towel on the countertop to put a few dishes that I hand wash on it. With this over the sink drain, the dishes, drain better, there’s even a spot for the silverware to drain. I measured my sink and this particular drain will expand so that it fits my sink. It doesn’t cover the whole inside of the sink, but it fits from one side to the other so that it’s wide enough that it doesn’t fall in. It lacks about 4 inches covering one end of the sink, but that works perfectly for me.
Expandable size can accommodate most sinks, however you can only use both trays if your sink is large. But one tray is enough for my needs. If you are careful, you can remove some of the rods. They aren’t really designed for it, but as you can see I removed the edge rod to fit the rack around my faucet and reinserted it. Otherwise it would not have fit in the space. But it works great! Can hold a medium pot of water easily, have not tested larger. I will update if it rusts.: It has not rusted. But be warned if you’ve never used an over-the-sink rack like this, it gets much dirtier than you think. It collects dirtiness UNDERNEATH the bars, because grease and water cling there due to gravity and become difficult to see until you turn it over and clean it. If this rack sees daily use, it needs daily cleaning, including the BOTTOM and SIDES of every individual rod. Starchy pasta water especially makes them sticky, but not look obviously dirty.I still think the utility it adds is worth it in my awkward kitchen, but if I had even a little bit more counter space, I’d get rid of it.
I absolutely love this! It keeps my kitchen looking neat and organized. After I wash my vegetables, I let them dry on it, and I also use it as a drying rack for my dishes. Once everything is dry, I simply put my vegetables away and place my dishes back in the cabinets. Then I just wipe it down with a small towel, and it’s clean and ready to use again. It’s so easy to keep everything tidy, and I love that my countertops stay dry and clutter-free. Definitely one of my favorite kitchen purchases!
Fit my sink nicely, very functional
Works well in our full size kitchen sink. Even expanding the width about 22 inches it still has enough strength to hold quite a heavy load. I know I have put ten pounds on top and there was no give. Would I try more ....no, but I'm satisfied with this . Easy to clean and store in cabinet.
This expandable roll-up dish drying rack has been one of those small upgrades that actually makes a big difference in daily use.First off, the size is great. The “extra large” is no joke — it easily spans my sink and gives plenty of space for drying dishes, pots, and even larger items like cutting boards. The expandable design is really nice because you can adjust it depending on what you’re washing. The build quality feels solid. The rods are sturdy and don’t flex much under weight, and the silicone ends keep it from slipping around on the sink. I’ve loaded it up with heavier items and it still holds up without sagging. What I like most is how easy it is to store. When you’re done, just roll it up and tuck it away — way better than having a bulky drying rack taking up counter space all the time.I’ve also used it for more than just drying dishes — it works great as a place to rinse fruits/veggies or even as a heat-resistant surface for hot pans.A couple small notes:Make sure your sink width matches the expanded sizeWater can drip underneath, so you may still want a towel if you’re drying a lot at onceOverall, super versatile, easy to use, and a great space-saver. Definitely recommend if you want a cleaner-looking kitchen setup.
I’m really happy with the BBXTYLY Expandable Roll Up Dish Drying Rack. It’s incredibly practical, especially for smaller kitchens. The roll-up feature is fantastic because it’s easy to store when not in use, and it fits perfectly over my sink. The expandable length means it can handle a lot of dishes, and the two storage baskets are a nice bonus for drying utensils or sponges. The rack feels sturdy and the silicone coating prevents any scratches on the sink. Plus, I love that it's heat-resistant, so I’ve even used it as a trivet for hot pans. My only minor issue is that the storage baskets are a bit small, but they still work for most utensils. Overall, it’s a solid purchase for anyone looking to save counter space!Pros:Space-saving and easy to roll upSturdy and expandable for larger loadsHeat-resistant and versatileCons:Storage baskets are a little small
I bought this for a friend with a new house. This seems like a well-made product, is attractive, and the two small trays it comes with are great additions. The downside is that it was to be used with an undermount farmhouse sink, which caused it to be laid over the sink at an angle (one end on top of the counter at the faucet end, and the other end on top of the front sink edge, which is about 1" lower). The first thing that happened was somebody leaned against the sink and the drainer went crashing into the sink with the 'test' dishes on it. Thankfully none of them broke. The other downside is that the rods are a little too far apart, such that if you try to set a plate upright between the rods to dry, it falls through them. The similar rack that I have at home holds the plates.
Initially what brought us to buy this product is the flexibility of sizing it to your sink opening. One thing that became immediately clear however was the sliding mechanisms for the bars is not tensioned or restrictive enough to keep them from collapsing. It wouldn't hold the width we adjusted to so I had to take some pliers and clamp down (pinching) each bar in place to the size of our sink. There should be a way to lock in a size once you've made the adjustment.
Great!!
A great way to save the small kitchen space
It’s fine, but the one in my camper is even made better than this one. There is no way I will be able to dry anything heavy or several dishes at once. It is just too flimsy. Very cheap steel or aluminum whatever it is. I wish I could return it, but the window passed.
I purchased a “gray” one that wasn’t very gray. This one was advertised as black and it looks black. I’m pleased with my purchase.
This rusted our new sink within three or four days of using it along the edges.
I love the concept of the item but it doesn't work too well. So it sits on top of my farmers sink but it does not lock on when expanding it in width. It expands on length but if you happen to move the with by mistake, it collapses. I wish it had some sort of lock mechanism, so if its bumped it won't collapse.
It is easy to expand but not all 4 baskets would fit at the same time!
Truly a genius idea. I find it the most useful because I like to have a single set of dishes that I just rinse and reuse often instead of building an entire load of dishes over and over. This is perfect for quickly rinsing off those items and setting them here to dry until I use them again. Another use is having a non-counter space where you can place a few dirty dishes until you are ready to wash them, without losing use of the entire sink for handwashing or other uses. I love when simple items transform the way you use your space. It rolls right out and immediately works in your favor. Also, the rubber edges hold their place along the edge of the sink very well. Very sturdy high materials, not cheap at all.
The bars rust after a while. Otherwise this is a really nice feature for a small kitchen or if you’re living alone. It’s easy to clean and adjustable. Holds dishes well and keeps them off counters. Easy to use in different sinks and homes.
This lovely device keeps my dishes out of the dirty sink. The sink can never be clean enough to not give me the ick. Also keeps water off my countertop as I wash dog bowls etc. highly recommend
This expandable roll-up dish rack is one of those kitchen tools you don’t realize you need until you use it. It instantly turned the area over my sink into extra drying space without cluttering my counters, a big win for small or minimalist kitchens. The design feels well thought out: the silicone-coated steel rods give it a sturdy, nonslip surface, and it easily supports dishes, mugs, and even small pots without bending. The real bonus here is the two detachable storage baskets. They’re perfect for holding utensils, sponges, or smaller items that tend to slide through the gaps. I like that they’re removable too, which makes it easy to rinse them off or rearrange depending on what I’m drying. The rack expands smoothly to fit different sink widths and rolls up neatly when not in use. It’s surprisingly compact once stored, taking up almost no space. If I had to note one drawback, it’s that water can collect slightly under the baskets if you leave it in place too long, so it’s worth giving the rack a quick shake or towel-off after heavy use. But that’s a minor trade-off for the convenience and flexibility it offers.Overall, it’s a sturdy, versatile, and cleverly designed rack that makes kitchen cleanup feel more streamlined. If you’re looking for a drying solution that’s both functional and easy to tuck away, this one is hard to beat.
