I have bought this to introduce my kids to the shabu pot idea.Pot comes with utensils - ladle and thongs - everything, including the pot is made out of stamped, light weight steel. The divider in the middle is spot welded - as per instructions, before first use (after washing it, of course) you need to fill both chambers with equal amount of water, and add food coloring to one side - leave it for about 15 minutes (I left it for 30) and if color does not bleed, it is safe to use. If it bleeds, you should return it.The only assembly required is to screw the handle to the lid - all you will need is a Philips screwdriver.I believe that with occasional use, this hot pot should last quite a while - if you are planning on using it frequently, you might need to look for thicker steel. However, in my opinion, for this price, if used weekly or so, it should be fine.
