High maintenance ice cube trays

I bought this 4 pack ice cube tray set to keep up with ice demand in my household. The refrigerator dispenser just doesn’t keep up on hot days.I did read a lot of the reviews before purchasing this. Many said the cubes never formed as the expected balls. After several trial and error ice making- I found a few key points that may make a difference in the ice cube results:1.) do fill the tray as close to the top as possible2.) be sure the top/lid tray snaps completely into the lower water filled tray. At time I thought I’d closed it but upon a closer look- it wasn’t fully “clicked” in.3.) A challenge for me and surely many others- location you put the trays in does make a big difference. For these to freeze perfect sonic like ice cube balls- the trays NEED to be placed on a level surface to freeze. A slight incline and you’ll end up with - extra ice in the freezer and half cube balls. What’s even worse is trying to get the smaller sized cubes out of the tray… so frustrating. It’s hard in my freezer to find space that’s level the size of the trays. But once I found my spot- the cubes resulted as advertised.Removal of the ice cubes is an acquired skill. A lot of twisting and banging the ice tray on the container to empty it.These are also somewhat of an ordeal to fill- lots of split or splashed water all over the counter. In my picture - that is about 2 trays worth of the ice cubes. Two trays would fill a Stanley cup to the top and that’s it.In general, I would much rather have the ice machine that makes this shape ice cube. But I refuse to add another appliance to my counter.Gave this 4 stars for the inconveniences that come with it. But the ice cubes are great- so… if you’re up for the challenge - get this. It’s cheaper than the machines!

Teeny tiny ice balls for lattes!

I was worried that the ice balls would be too big but they are perfect! I use them in my soda stream bottle and my daily latte. They are about the size of a marble.

You'll Get Wet!

I wasn't sure how this would create perfect ice balls but it did. The fact that you can stack the ice trays is a game changer for me. My old ice trays, the top was open so I wasn't able to stack it. I love that it comes with a box to keep the ice in so you can constantly have ice ready to go. One thing for me though is, you'll get wet. No matter how slowly I pour the water, it seems to get every where. Besides that, I love it.

Game Changer!

So much better for crushing ice in a blender, versus typical sized cubes/balls.Or, for just adding to one’s drinks of choice.I would give it 5 stars if this were an automatic ice maker.

Too Small

Produce enough ice for 1 glass of ice tea

A perfect product for making small ice balls

Very pleased with how easy and quickly they are to fill, freeze, and remove. The ice balls are perfectly frozen and last a long time.Unlike a previous product, the ice does not freeze into one big clump in the container and the little plastic scoop included breaks the ice balls apart without the need of an ice hammer.Very pleased indeed in price and quality.Only regret is not purchasing it sooner.

Makes nice ice balls with practice

Works great after a little practice. The trick is getting just the right amount of water in the lower section before adding the lid.Fill from a cup, not under the faucet as you don't need much. Pouring water into the bottom has a tendency to splash our due to the shape of the cavities. Pout the water over the back of a spoon to stop.

Good so far

Works great once you've got it down, but can leave a bit of a mess. Make sure the balls are fully frozen however

Like it but....

So, been going through ice a lot this hot summer. My girlfriend loves crushed ice and so I figure, why not try this. Its relatively easy to get everything going. Try it out night before so in the morning wake up to the ice and that worked great. Easy, straight forward and end result is awesome gf is super happy. Does take up some freezer space for the bin and trays. My complaint is that it takes a bit to set all 4 trays up and without using a cup, pitcher or a sink with a sprayer on low splash out is very easy, resulting in a water mess. Removing the ice you twist like a normal ice tray just not as hard, but still some may stick. Its not perfect however id say still worth it for crushed ice lovers. Perhaps silicone is the way to go for the trays but will use it till I have to replace it

A LOT OF ICE BALLS

Lots of little ice balls. Takes a minute to refill but results are worth it. Only a few of the ice get stuck but a little bang and they fall out. Worth the purchase

Compact size and easy to use.

I really like the compact size of these trays, they can fit in my limited freezer space. One tray is more that enough to fill a glass so with 2x trays you will have plenty of ice to use while the next batch freezes. If you over fill the tray and try to close it, it will shoot water up into the air but I found of you put a tea towel over the trays while you snap them together it will catch the spray while also soaking up any excess. The molds are pretty strong but the outer storage case is thin plastic. Amazon shipped mine out in a paper envelope and the outer case arrived shattered, then the replacement arrived bent but still usable. You don't need the case to use the ice mold but it does keep the "freezer smell" from getting into your ice and its nice to have something the same size as the molds to catch the ice as you bend them out of the molds.

Very aesthetic and pleasing to the eye!

First of I love the shape and texture of the round ice.Second, design wise, it could definitely be better for sure, it's a bit hard to get all of the ice out smoothly. The storage compartment is roomy, could easily fit 3 rounds of ice in there, I'm OBSESSED with the little scoop, I love it don't know where it's been all my life but I LOVE it!10/10 recommend, slight difficulty getting the ice out, I probably don't know the trick to getting it out to be honest but even so I'd still recommend even if there wasn't a trick to getting the ice to come out easier. It is very well made, I do think it's worth the money to buy, especially for such an aesthetic appearance!

Stylish, efficient mini ice balls—mostly great!

These trays are a fun, convenient way to make tiny spherical ice quickly and in small freezer space. They’re best if you like chewable ice or need ice for everyday chilled drinks. With just a bit of practice on water level and handling, they’re a solid 4‑star pick and even more enjoyable once you get the hang of them!

It's a process but the end result is worthwhile

This is what I've learned after several runs. Put the first tray in the sink and fill it with an 8 ounce measuring cup of water. It needs to be close to the tray when pouring so it doesn't splash out, which is why I use the beaker. Apply the top piece and press in the middle a few times then the end. Then turn upside down so the excess water the came out the holes flows away. Don't worry about the water dripping from the holes while it's upside down - it stays put. Then freeze. But removing the cubes is difficult because they stick to the plastic. So I leave them on the counter for 10 minutes and then remove the cubes - most will come out easy, some require extra attention. By then they won't be totally frozen so you'll need to put them in the freeze for 15 minutes to re-freeze and then remove and stir. They'll stick together into a big clump if you don't break them apart after about 15 minutes. It's a hassle but the marble sized cubes are way better then regular ice cubes. I'm giving it 4 stars because they're difficult to remove from the trays when taken out from the freezer without the extra effort.

Adorable and Practical

I absolutely love these WIBIMEN Mini Ice Cube Trays! The small, pebble-shaped ice nuggets are perfect for cooling down my iced coffee and juice without overwhelming my glass. The pack of four trays means I always have extra ice ready to go—great for unexpected guests or busy days. The lids are a clever touch, preventing spills and keeping the ice fresh and odor-free in the freezer. These trays are compact (0.55 in nuggets), so they fit easily on even the smallest freezer shelf. Cleaning is a breeze thanks to the flexible silicone—just pop them out and rinse. And my favorite pink color adds a fun, cheerful vibe to my kitchen routine!Pros:Makes cute, nugget-style ice that’s ideal for sippingSpace-saving 0.55 in size with secure, spill-proof lidsComes in a handy 4-packDishwasher-safe, easy to cleanCons:The nuggets are small—great for drinks but not ideal for large pitchersOverall, the WIBIMEN Mini Ice Cube Trays are a delightful and functional addition to any kitchen. Perfect for coffee, cocktails, and cold drinks, they’re a cheap upgrade to your freezer arsenal. Highly recommend!

Makes cute ice cubes, some minor shortcomings

I bought the four tray pack. I like the ice cubes that it makes. The user manual recommends using 200ml of water, which is about 3/4 cup. Maybe use just a little bit less. I found measuring to be easier than trying to fill it from the faucet. You don't overfill and then you have less of a mess when you snap the top on. It's a little messy because when you press the top on water squirts out of the edges and the small holes, so plan ahead.  The ice cubes remove fairly easily. I haven't tried a quick rinse on both sides of the tray to see if they would release even easier but I have no real complaints. One shortcoming is that the trays don't interlock when you try and stack them so they kind of just sit on top of each other. A few little plastic tabs for stacking and I would have given this thing a five-star rating.

A bit messy to fill but very fun!

These are so fun! I got them for my bachelorette party and they were perfect for our dirty soda bar. The ice comes out easy in nice little spheres. It also makes quite a bit of ice. The plastic is durable but still has a bit of flex so that you can pop the ice out. My one complaint is they are a bit of mess to fill. You fill the bottom tray with water and then just push the top of the tray on. This usually results with water squirting all over the place. I will admit that was kinda fun though. Water also tends to end on top of the closed tray but you can’t get it off without dumping water out of the whole tray. It’s a bit inconvenient but in the end it just means there’s some ice on top of the tray when you pull it out. Overall I felt like they were worth it even if they are a bit messy.
